ABSTRACT

Objetivo: conhecer as causas de quedas em idosos em um município de Mato Grosso. Método: a pesquisa foi realizada por uma abordagem descritiva e levantamento de dados, com métodos quantitativos, colhidos na Estratégia de Saúde da Família no bairro Jardim Mangueiras, em Barra do Garças ­ Mato Grosso. Resultado: observou-se no gênero feminino o índice de quedas foi de 66,67%, maior do que no masculino de 33,33%, as principais causas que levaram ao evento citado foram o ato de escorregar, tropeçar, devido o sapato, outros motivos e a falta de adaptação domiciliar. Considerações finais: levando-se em consideração esses aspectos, seria importante que as quedas fossem prevenidas principalmente através das orientações de enfermagem e adaptações domiciliares.


Objective: to know the causes of falls in the elderly in a municipality of Mato Grosso. Method: the research was carried out by a descriptive approach and data collection, with quantitative methods, collected in the Family Health Strategy in the Jardim Mangueiras neighborhood, in Barra do Garças - Mato Grosso. Result: in the female gender the fall rate was 66.67%, higher than in the male rate of 33.33%, the main causes that led to this event were slippage, stumbling due to the shoe, other reasons and lack of home adaptation. Final considerations: taking into account these aspects, it would be important that the falls be prevented mainly through the nursing and home adaptations guidelines.


Objetivo: conocer las causas de caídas en ancianos en un municipio de Mato Grosso. Método: la investigación fue realizada por un enfoque descriptivo y levantamiento de datos, con métodos cuantitativos, recogidos en la Estrategia de Salud de la Familia en el barrio Jardim Mangueiras, en Barra do Garças - Mato Grosso. Resultados: si en el género femenino el índice de caídas fue del 66,67%, mayor que en el masculino del 33,33%, las principales causas que llevaron al evento citado fueron el acto de resbalar, tropezar, debido al zapato, otros motivos y la falta de adaptación domiciliaria. Consideraciones finales: teniendo en cuenta estos aspectos, sería importante que las caídas fueran prevenidas principalmente a través de las orientaciones de enfermería y adaptaciones domiciliarias.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the recognition of nurses and patients on chosing daily caregivers and analyze the influencing factors. Method Totally 1,119 nurses and 1,134 patients from five first-class and two second-class hospitals in Zhuhai participated in the survey using self-designed questionnaires from April to June in 2014. Results There were significant differences between nurses and patients in all life nursing projects (P<0.001) except making beds for patients. The top three factors influencing the nurses′recognition were shortage of nursing staff and time, less presence of professional values and feeling no respects. The top three factors influencing the patients′recognition included tending to be nursed by family members, worries about medical expenses, and nurses′being too busy on treatment. Conclusion The different recognitions of nurses and patients on daily caregivers are influenced by multiple factors. Therefore , nursing managers should take some effective strategies to change the concepts of nurses and patients so as to improve quality of nursing service.
